The A. Brandt Company used the Natural Oak and Acorn Brown finishes most often on Ranch Oak furniture to compliment its patented rough-hewn design. About seven different finishes, or stains are shown to be used in the A. Brandt Ranch Oak furniture catalogs. (SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL THESE FINISHES)
Natural Oak was made by sealing the wood, double coating it with lacquer, and applying liquid wax and Spanish whiting. Acorn Brown was made by applying an oil stain before sealing the wood. After lacquering, Acorn Brown wax was applied.
